The Proximity USB Desktop Card Reader will read the correct 8 digit Wiegand code number of any EM-RFID Wiegand 26 bit 125 KHz card or key fob using this format - It will not read MIFARE cards/fobs
This unit is ideal in conjunction with our PC Access Control Systems, especially with key fobs - it is a 'Must Have' without fail
When used in conjunction with our PC Access Control Systems, the software will acknowledge the correct code number making the adding of users so much easier and faster
It can also save time hand writing all the code numbers printed on the card or key fob and then typing them out
Simply plug the unit in to a USB port on your computer, the unit will bleep to confirm communication and that is it! - No software required or additional software drivers to download, it's 'Plug and Play' operation
To generate a card or key fob list:
Some manufacturers of Wiegand RFID cards or key fobs may label them with either the 8 digit Wiegand or 10 digit U.I.D code number or none at all
With the Proximity USB Desktop Card Reader it will provide the actual 8 digit Wiegand code number required
To do this, ensure the unit is connected to the computer, open Notepad or Word on the computer, present a card or key fob over the unit and it will display the correct 8 digit Wiegand code number - it's that simple

This unit is specifically designed for use with our PC access controlled systems to enable speed of programming cards or key fobs in order to provide the 8 digit Wiegand code number that the AC8000 software requires
The Proximity USB Desktop Card Reader - U.I.D is very similar, but designed for use with our range of access control kits and key fob readers where you have several cards or key fobs. A time saving unit as opposed to hand writing all the code numbers printed on the card or key fob and then typing them out in order to populate a user list
